The World Association of Children's Friends (or AMADE, in French: Association Mondiale des Amis de l'Enfance) was founded in 1963 by Princess Grace of Monaco. The current president of A.M.A.D.E. is her daughter Caroline, Princess of Hanover. It is part of the United Nations network of Non-governmental organizations.[1] AMADE has an official relationship with UNESCO.[2] On December 2, 2003, The Princess of Hanover was nominated as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNESCO.[3]

AMADE focuses on a wide range of issues that relate to the promotion and protection of children's human rights. Primary focuses include poverty and violence against children, either physical or sexual. AMADE finances projects for drug education, preventive health, employment, and literacy.[2]
